Satya Celestial Incense Review

From Shrinivas Sugandhalaya’s Oriental series comes Celestial.  A powerful scent that sweeps into the room and takes no prisoners and offers no apologies.  Aww, who am I kidding?  It is pleasant, enjoyable and absolutely nothing to write home about.  Like the others scents in the Oriental series it is built on a base of vanilla and sandalwood and that at the very least gives you a pleasantly warm, sweet, and slightly earthy scent.  It just doesn’t do much more than that.

There are some lightly floral notes at the top and something that I swear smells like marshmallow that adds a bit to the sweetness.  And that seems to be this sticks character.  Sweet.  Not overpoweringly sweet or cloyingly sweet, just pleasantly sweet and very, very lightly floral.  It still doesn’t add up to an amazing scent.  Would I burn it again?  Yes I would.  Like Sunrise it is such a non-intrusive generic scent I can easily see adding it to the list of sticks I like to meditate with.  Simply because of its generic qualities.  It won’t distract you, it won’t linger for a long time after the stick is out and won’t bother your nose.

So if you are looking for a pleasantly warm, sweet scent with lots of sandalwood and vanilla, look no further.
